WHO WE ARE
We are an informal but committed collection of conservation organizations and individuals working to ensure a future where grizzly bears not only survive—but thrive—across the Northern Rockies.
Our coordination began around 2016, as momentum built around the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s proposed delisting of Yellowstone’s grizzly bear population. Alarmed by the looming threat of state-sanctioned trophy hunts in Idaho and Wyoming, we came together to oppose delisting and coordinate a strong, unified response.
After a successful legal effort in 2018 halted the delisting and trophy hunts, we chose to continue fighting for grizzly bear protection and recovery, expanding our focus to grizzly bear issues beyond the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Today, we work across key regions like the Cabinet-Yaak, Bitterroot, and the vital corridors of connectivity that are essential to full recovery.
